Welcome to this blog

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Matthew, a travel blogger, IT enthusiast, digital nomad, and happy man. Since 2012, I've been traveling the world, visiting more than 30 countries, and making many friends along the way. I’ve experienced many things firsthand and would like to share some stories, show you some places, and even provide some itineraries. My goal is to provide information about different places and life in various countries in a simple and easy-to-understand way. Sustainable Travel

Traveling Slow
“Traveling slow” refers to the act of taking one’s time to explore a destination, rather than rushing through it. The goal of traveling slow is often to fully immerse oneself in the culture and experience of a place, rather than simply checking off a list of tourist attractions.
Try Different Transport
“Try different transport” while traveling refers to using a variety of transportation methods to get around a destination. This can include taking public transportation such as buses or trains, renting a bike or scooter, hailing a taxi or ride-sharing service, or even walking or cycling. The idea is to experience different modes of transportation and to see more of the destination from different perspectives. It can also be a way to save money or to avoid the crowds of tourists. Additionally, it's a way to take in the local culture and to see the daily life of the people who live in the area you are visiting.
Respect Nature
“Respect nature” while traveling means treating the natural environment and wildlife with care and consideration. This can include things like not littering, staying on designated trails, not disturbing wildlife, and not collecting or removing natural objects or wildlife from their habitat. Additionally, it can also mean being conscious of one's carbon footprint and taking steps to minimize impact on the environment like reducing energy consumption, water usage, and waste production. Furthermore, it can mean participating in sustainable tourism activities, such as eco-tourism, and supporting conservation efforts. By respecting nature, travelers can help to preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the places they visit for future generations to enjoy.
Making Changes
“Making changes” while traveling can refer to a variety of actions or adjustments that a person might make in order to improve their travel experience or to make it more sustainable. This can include things like adjusting one's travel itinerary to include more sustainable or responsible activities, choosing accommodations or transportation options that have a lower impact on the environment, or making an effort to support local communities and economies. It can also mean changing one's own behavior while traveling, such as reducing consumption, waste production, or energy usage. Making changes can also mean being open to new experiences, perspectives and ways of life. Making changes while traveling can help to make the trip more enjoyable, meaningful and impactful for the traveler and the places visited.
Be Friendly
“Be friendly” while traveling refers to being open, approachable, and sociable with the people you meet during your trip. It can involve striking up conversations with locals, smiling and saying hello to people you pass by, and being willing to engage with others. Being friendly can also mean being respectful of local customs and cultures, and making an effort to understand and appreciate the way of life in the places you visit. Additionally, it can mean being open to new experiences and being willing to try new things. Being friendly can help you to connect with the local people and to make your travel more meaningful and enjoyable.
Using Less Plastics
“Using less plastics” while traveling refers to minimizing the use of single-use plastic items and choosing more sustainable alternatives. Plastic pollution is a big problem in many parts of the world, and travelers can contribute to this problem by using disposable plastic items such as water bottles, straws, and shopping bags. To use less plastics while traveling, one can bring a reusable water bottle, refuse single-use plastic items such as straws or cutlery and bring your own reusable alternatives, avoid buying products with excessive plastic packaging, and recycle or properly dispose of any plastic waste that is generated. Using less plastics while travelling can help to reduce the amount of plastic waste in the environment, and support the local communities and economies to keep their places clean and sustainable.

20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

I can mention many moments that were unforgettable and revelatory. But the most single revelatory three minutes was the first time I put on scuba gear and dived on a coral reef. It’s just the unbelievable fact that you can move in three dimensions.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
